HKT48, AKB48's hakata-based sister group, has announced that they will be releasing their very first single on March 20th.
While the new single is currently untitled, one of the tracks has been revealed to be titled "Onegai Valentine" and will be used as a tie-in song from Lotte's "Ghana Milk Chocolate" commercial.
The new single will come in 3 different versions: Type A, Type B and Type C, each with its own DVD.
HKT48 will be the 4th group in the 48 family to debut in Japan. AKB48 came first in 2006, SKE48 was second in 2009 and NMB48 was third in 2011.
HKT48 will be the youngest of the 48 groups with an average age of 14.9 years-old.
"I'm very excited that our debut has finally been set! I want everyone to know about HKT, and with our youth and freshness we'll show people something new and different," group member Meru Tashima stated.
