2PM Becomes Sexy Sailors For Vogue Korea

2PM has once again graced another fashion magazine and this time it's Vogue Korea. The beastly idols have posed for so many magazines with their signature "beastly" look but this time for VK, the 6-member idol group went for a more soothing and mild image just like the approach of their newest album release "Grown".

The boys scream preppy fashion in this photo shoot as they pull off a summery vibe fashion as handsome and sexy sailors. An interview is also featured along with the sleek photos where 2PM shares what they have learned from their 2-year break from releasing a Korean album, commenting that they grew more mature when it comes to their music.

Taecyeon Accepted to Korea University Graduate School

JYP Entertainment recently announced that 2PM’s Taecyeon has been accepted to the Department of International Studies at the prestigious Korea University’s Graduate School of International Studies.

Taecyeon, who finished his undergraduate Business Administration studies in Dankook University, took the exam for Korea University Graduate School last December and was recently accepted. He received a notification of his acceptance and is considering attending the graduate school’s orientation on February 27th.

In related news, Jun.K has also been accepted in a graduate program at Kyunghee University’s Journalism & Communications School.

2PM releases Audio Previews for Japanese album ‘Legend of 2PM’

Currently gearing up for their upcoming Japanese promotions, 2PM has released an audio preview for 2nd Japanese album ‘Legend of 2PM’,

‘Legend of 2PM’ will be out on February 13th. The album will contain 13 tracks including 9 brand new songs and 4 of their previously released singles including “Masquerade”, “Beautiful”, “If You are Here” and “Forever”, which will definitely be able to satisfy the expectations the public and fans hold toward the group.

Chansung Resembles a 'Simpsons' Character?

2PM′s Chansung now has a new look-alike.

The singer appeared on the February 8 broadcast of MBC′s Section TV when the show dropped by the set for the MBC drama 7th Grade Civil Servant.

In the middle of an interview, Chansung confessed that Choi Kang Hee had pointed out a striking similarity between him and a cartoon character.

"I have a nickname," he said. "[Choi] Kang Hee noona (big sister) told me I look like a character in The Simpsons."

The show set a picture of him next to one of Abu from The Simpsons, and he did seem to resemble the character due to his distinct features.

Chansung also said this day about his character, "I′m about 20 percent similar to Do Ha, my role for the drama. Do Ha is very cold, but I always smile even around people who tease me."

Chansung Shows Off His Abs in Still Cuts from ‘My Girlfriend Is an Agent’

 

2PM's Chansung recently left fans searching for their jaws after seeing these still cuts for upcoming mini-series ‘My Girlfriend Is an Agent‘ (also known as ‘Level 7 Civil Servant‘).

The photos show Chansung cooling off as he lifts up his shirt, revealing his chiseled abs underneath. He was also seen intensely focused with his training, sweating hard. Other than the serious eye candy, fans couldn’t help but become mesmerized by Chansung’s charisma and intensity shown through these photos, further increasing the hype for the upcoming show.

A representative revealed, “It is normal for people to get tired after long hours of working out, but I was pleasantly surprised by Chansung’s diligent work ethic as he continued to focus on his acting. Chansung is the most serious while he’s acting. Through ‘My Girlfriend Is an Agent’, he will not only showcase his charisma, but also more upgraded acting. We ask for your love and support.”
The action-packed romantic comedy ‘My Girlfriend Is an Agent’ will premiere following ‘I Miss You‘ on January 23rd!

FT Island, Boyfriend, Girls' Generation and More in this Week's Oricon Charts

This week's charts include another load of new releases with FT Island and Boyfriend in the single rankings, each with their most recent releases, as well as Girls' Generation's newest and second full length album "Girls' Generation 2 ~Girls & Peace~."

FT Island's "Polar Star" takes the 2nd place in this week's single ranking after selling 19,400 copies on its first day. The band is closely followed by six member group Boyfriend, whose 2nd Japaneses single "Kimi to Dance Dance Dance/ My Lady ~Fuyu no Koibito~" sold 16,929 copies and got them to the 3rd place.

This week it was also time for the release of Girls' Generation's newest full length album. "Girls' Generation 2 ~Girls & Peace~" got to the 2nd spot.

On the 5th place in this week's single ranking, we find girl group Girls' Generation's latest single "Flower Power." The release sold 29,065 units since its release on November 21st. MYNAME's second Japanese single "What's Up" sold 19,366 copies in its first week, grabbing a 9th spot just before SHU-I whose newest single "Daigyakuten" sold 18,432 copies.

The next coming weeks include releases by various other artists including, U-KISS (12/12), SHINee (12/12) and Supernova (12/19) among others.

2PM’s “Masquerade” Ranks #2 on Oricon Weekly Chart

 

2PM’s new Japanese single album has placed second for the week on the Oricon.

According to the updated ranking for the Oricon chart on November 21, 2PM’s fifth Japanese single, “Masquerade” ranked second on the Weekly Chart.

“Masquerade” previously placed second on the Oricon Daily Singles chart. The single has sold over 130,000 copies in the first week of the release, making it the second highest sales volume for the group after “Beautiful”, which sold over 140,000 copies.

Nickhun Writes His Own Song, 'Let It Rain'

After Taec Yeon, Junho and Woo Young, the solo songs of Chansung, Nickhun and Jun K have also been released recently.

At 2pm on November 15, through 2PM's official homepage, 3 new solo songs of Jun.K, Nickhun and Chansung were released..

In the previous Asia tour, Jun.K's 'Alive' received much love from fans. This time, maknae Chansung is attracting fans' attention with his new song "Love You Down".

In particlular, for the upcoming concert, Nickhun's 'Let it rain' was highly expected, because this is the first time he writes his own song, to show appreciation towards fans' love to him and 2PM. Nickhun wanted to share his true feeling about it through music.

JYP's representative shared, "The 2PM's upcoming live tour will display a lot of emotional performances and new sides of members. Please give us a lot of supports".

2PM Reveals Audio Previews of Wooyoung, Junho, and Taecyeon’s Solo Tracks for Upcoming Concerts

 

Having already revealed the individual and group posters for their upcoming tour ‘What Time is It?‘, 2PM has now unveiled audio previews of the solo songs of Wooyoung, Taecyeon, and Junho.

The previews all include 1 minute samples of the member’s solo tracks: Wooyoung’s “Sexy Lady“, Taecyeon’s “It’s Time“, and Junho’s “Just a Feeling“.

Wooyoung will be showcasing an even more upgraded performance of his solo track for the upcoming concerts, while Junho will be revealing the track he specially composed for this concert series.

Taecyeon, who has been working on composing, will be revealing his track which features Wonder Girls‘ Yubin as well as San.E.

The multi high-end lifestyle concept select shop ‘Koon With a View‘ held an opening party for its flagship store on October 18th.

'Love Concert in Kobe 2012' to Feature FT Island, 2PM, B1A4 and More

On October 20th, K-Pop fans in Kobe, Japan will be spectating performances by some of today's top Hallyu idol stars.

The concert will be taking place at the Rokko Island Marine Park at 3PM local time. Confirmed to MC the event are Lee Hongki from FT Island and KARA's Seungyeon and Goo Hara.

In addition, fourteen artists will be performing at the event including 2PM, 4minute, B1A4, BEAST, Boyfriend, FT Island, KARA, MBLAQ, Norazo, Secret, SISTAR, Supernova, T-ara, and Teen Top.

2PM to Release Postponed Japanese Single “Masquerade” in November

 2PM was originally scheduled to release their 5th Japanese single “Masquerade” on August 29th, but the
date was unfortunately postponed due to Nichkhun‘s DUI incident. With the announcement of Nichkhun
ending his hiatus, it seems 2PM will be also gearing up to restart their official Japanese activities.

On October 5th, 2PM’s official Japanese website was updated with news stating that “Masquerade” will be
released in mid-November. Additionally, after the announcement of their global tour , it was revealed that
2PM will have a nationwide tour across Japan in the Spring of 2013.

JYP, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, & Suzy Release "Classic" MV Reebok Endorsement

After announcing their endorsements for Reebok's new Pump Fury Classic shoes, the JYP Entertainment quartet has released a music video titled "Classic" in support of the brand.

In the video, Park Jinyoung, 2PM's Taecyeon and Wooyoung, and miss A's Suzy sit in a movie theater watching a variety of different clips. The track features beautiful harmonies along with an upbeat tempo, telling a romantic story with both electronic and classic sounds.

Meanwhile, Reebok and the group are scheduled to hold a fan meet and tea time event with fans at the IFC mall in Seoul on September 28th.
